Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Some discussion about sex. Male rear nudity (streaking). Issues of prostitution.

About 10 seconds of male full-frontal nudity (streaking).

Violence & Gore

First act (build up):

- A woman is slapped by her father

- A man is dragged out of the bar by his mother (played for comedy)

- Stan smacks his wife to the ground and has to be restrained and almost starts a fight with Nick

- Michael shoots a deer dead

Second act ('Nam)

- We see Michael lie on top of a pile of bloody bodies

- A Vietnamnese soldier throws a grenade down into a pit filled with women and children and we see the explosion

- The soldier then shoots a woman and her newborn baby dead (with bloody results) and in return Michael torches the soldier with a flamethrower and shotos him many times. Nick and Stevie then sees Michael and runs towards him but they're ambushed and captured.

- The American and Southern Vietnamnese troops are forced to play Russian Roulette against each other. During this we see at least one man shoot himself dead with blood gushing and we see many more dead and bloody bodies all around the camp

- During the Russian Roulette sequence, a Vietnamnese man slaps Michael and Nick very violently and constantly as they are about to shoot. It is very intense.

- When Michael and Nick are forced to play against each other they decide to break free and Michael shoots a man point-blank in the head (with a bullet hole visible) and Nick grabs the nearst soldier, takes his machinegun and starts blasting away . Michael does the same and not many seconds later all the Vietnamnese are dead (the shooting has some bloody results)

- Michael, Steven and Nick are floating down a river on a flotsam when they finally see an american chopper picking them up. Nick makes it onboard but Steven falls into the water and Michael goes after him, when they finally make it to the shore we see that Steven has broken both of his legs (a gross-looking wound with the bone sticking out)

- When Nick interferes with a game of Russian Roulette played for money, the bouncer grabs him and he fights with him and Nick escapes.

Thrid act (Aftermath)

- Michael holds a gun to Stans head

- We see riots on the streets of Saigon (burning cars, bodies etc.)

- Another man is killed in a game of Russian Roulette

- Nick spits in Michaels face

- Nick plays Russian Roulette against Michael and it ends with Nick shooting himself in the head (with blood splattering everywhere)

Profanity

97 f-words, with other assorted profanities used heavily throughout.

Lots of alcohol / drunkenness. Lots of smoking. Some drug use.

Disturbing scenes of a Vietnamese POW camp with very disturbing and intense scenes of Russian roulette.

Today, film might be rated R for Sequences of Intense, Disturbing Violent Content, Pervasive Language, Some Drug Content and Brief Nudity.
