Anothe Hit Television Show

This show hit the television screen on September 20 1978 starring Robert Urich as Private Investigator Dan Tanna, Phyliss Davis as Dan Secretary Beatrice Travis. Tanna is hired by the parents of a run away girl name Marilyn. Marilyn is working for one of the local pimps as a prostitute and is sent to a hotel room to make a New Jersey man very happy. However when the man goes into the bathroom she takes off with his wallet. Tanna fines the girl in one of the cities local massage parlors where Dan beats up the pimp and his John and puts the girl in his car. Dan takes the girl to his place where after talking to her, Dan fines out that she's ran away a total of 14 times before. She tells Dan that her stepfather has roaming eyes and has tried to hit on her since she was 16. Therefore, Dan goes to the hotel where the parents are staying and waiting to hear from Dan and gives the money back because he does believe the girls story about her stepfather. When Dan gets back to his place, the lights are out and Dan is hit from behind, and is knocked out. When Dan comes around, he finds that he's laying on the floor with a headache and the girl is missing along with his car. While Dan is at the local hospital getting x-rays his told that his car was found in the desert along with a **** ****. Now Dan is out for revenge and is looking for the pimp that sent him to the hospital because now this case has gotten personal. In the opening of the three season of Charlie's Angels just before the end Robert Urich briefly appeared as Dan Tanna at the end of an episode of "Charlie's Angels" (1976) entitled "Angels in Vegas". Supposedly, Dan was a friend of Charlie and Bosley. Dan's pet name for Tony Curtis who appeared on the show as Phillip Roth was Slick. I really like this show and it was even better because it followed Charlie's Angels on Wednesday nights. I thought Robert Urich was excellent as the private eye. I also like Judy Landers also being on the show because she was a very young and gorgeous young woman whose acting career was just getting started. The best part of the pilot was seeing one of my best friends the lovely, beautiful and gorgeous Dian Parkinson who went on to the best model ever on the Price Is Right Game show on CBS. I give this show 10 weasel stars with Dian appearance alone. I don't think the producers gave this show enough time because it should've been on a lot longer then just 3 seasons.
