American actress Shikha Puri impressed her director Reynold Baines when he recently met her for the launch of work on the movie The Three Kings. Aimed at the international market primarily, the much-anticipated film is based on the tragic story of beautiful flower child Parveen Babi, who breezed through Bollywood in the 1970s having affairs with a number of leading men and directors. Characters in the movie may be recognisable as Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, Mahesh Bhatt, Kabir Bedi and Danny Denzongpa. Parveen had her biggest hits in movies with Amitabh such as Amar Akbar Anthony and Don.
Shikha appears to be taking the controversial route into Bollywood, trailblazed by others such as Rakhi Sawant, Mallika Sherawat and Sherlyn Chopra. Shikha Puri to play Parveen Babi

Looking remarkably similar, American actress Shikha Puri is expected to play the part of Parveen Babi in a film currently called The Three Kings and based on the tragic life of the Bollywood actress. The film is likely to be shot in a mixture of Hindi and English and is intended primarily for the international audience.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Parveen Babi played alongside the greats of Bollywood in movie such as Deewar, Shaan and Amar Akbar Anthony. She was linked to amorous relationships to Mahesh Bhatt and Kabir Bedi, amongst others, and it is likely that the movie will explore this aspect. Mahesh Bhatt has earlier touched upon his relationship with her in the movie Woh Lamhe. Amitabh Bachchan has been invited to a promotional event for his upcoming film Rann by producers Sheetal Talwar and Madhu Mantena at 7 pm today. It is actually an event held to celebrate his forty years in the film industry on the eve of his 67th birthday.
Forty of his actor fans have been chosen to play Amitabh’s most unforgettable characters and recite his dialogues. The homage will start with Amitabh’s Saat Hindustani, which was his debut film. Some of the characters will be from his films Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Black, etc.
