Parents Guide for
The Yakuza (1974) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

One sequence that takes place in a bath house, shows nude women behind a glass wall. But the glass is distorted; therefore, no nudity.

Violence & Gore

The gun violence in the movie is relatively bloodless

The sword violence draws most of the blood in the film including:

-a man's hand is sliced off (we don't see the impact, but briefly see the hand holding a gun fly through the air)

-Harry and Dusty are attacked in a pool by an assassin. He slices Harry's stomach, Harry then grabs the knife and shoves it into the man's abdomen, bloodying him and the water.

-various people are somewhat bloody from sword violence

Profanity

For an "R" rated movie, the profanity is very minimal

1 "f" word and a few uses of "s**t" and "g-damn"
