(1974) Robert Mitchum is an American private eye in Japan who takes on the criminal underworld in the East-meets-West crime thriller directed by Sydney Pollack from a script by Paul Schrader and Robert Towne. Takakura Ken and Brian Keith co-star.

Six new-to-DVD features starring Hollywood's sleepy-eyed star and bad boy romantic hero, Robert Mitchum, whose casual performances belied the intelligence beneath the world-weary front. He's at his best as the working class ambulance driver caught in the seductive web spun by scheming rich girl Jean Simmons in Angel Face (1952), Otto Preminger's cool film noir. He teams up with tough-talking dame Jane Russell in Macao (1952) and is marvelous as the Southern patriarch with the booming voice in Home from the Hill (1960), co-starring Eleanor Parker, George Peppard, and George Hamilton. The set also includes The Sundowners (1960), The Good Guys & the Bad Guys (1969), and The Yakuza (1974).
