I really don't know quite what to say (or think) about this now that I've seen it. Princess Elzebub (it's never revealed if her first name might be "Bea") has taken over the earth and has a bevy of monsters to help her. Of course, earth has a secret weapon in Inframan, a young man who has been scientifically engineered to fight such threats. There's nothing quite like a vigorous martial arts fight with a man in a red suit and some poor guy in a fat red spider suit doing battle. And Mutant Drill, one of the Princess's other minions, is a wonder to behold too, kind of like a cross between the Tasmanian Devil and a turd, with a drill on one arm and what appears to be a can opener on the other. This is cheesy jaw-dropping fun, and while it's all rather silly it's rarely boring due to the hyper-kinetic pacing. I watched this in Mandarin but the DVD can also be watched in English dialog, and kids may actually enjoy this if they're of a certain age, and there's nothing unsuitable for them either. A very fun and weird Hong Kong action flick courtesy of The Shaw Brothers, not at all made to be taken seriously. I think. 7 out of 10.
