Jennifer O'Neill (in a very cold performance) is the young schoolteacher that arrives at a small Italian town, gets attracted to fellow teacher Franco Nero, and soon becomes involved in a series of bizarre murders, with the victims being local men that harassed her sexually. Oh, and James Mason is also in this, wasting his time as her landlord.

This obscure film would be devoid of interest even under perfect viewing conditions, but the scratchy print and bad dubbing make sure that even those don't exist. Deep down inside, the story has elements of social relevance (the exploitation of the poor), but you'd have to put up with a lot of awkward dialogue exchanges (half the cast speaks English, the other half doesn't!) to get so far. One sequence (inexplicably) is in Italian. (*)
