A Classic! Up There With Romero's Work!, 6 April 2008
10/10

This is so much more than the cheap 70's zombie/exploitation film that I was expecting it. It is a very well thought out and intelligent movie with a lot of very scary scenes. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the movie and am very glad that I blind bought it. I watched it right after seeing 2008's atrocious The Ruins so it was definitely a breath of fresh air after that piece of garbage.

I thought the story of this film was very brilliantly thought out. The whole radiation idea was a very creative way to explain the outbreak and it was nice to see a zombie movie where the way to kill them isn't by shooting them in the head. Not that those movies are bad, I just appreciated a different idea. The acting was great but much like most low budget 70's films, the dubbing was off. Though, that didn't effect the movie as a whole for me at all. This movie was very tense the whole way through and still holds up perfectly today. It belongs in the ranks with Romero's great Dead series as I would say it's just as good.

Check this movie out as soon as you can and you will be glad you did. Especially if you're a fan of 70's style zombie films.
