Awesome 70's car chase flick has Fonda and Rourke holding a supermarket manager's wife and kid hostage, stealing his money and making a clean getaway. They didn't expect Mary (George) to tag along after Fonda sleeps and ditches her. Vic Morrow plays the officer in charge trying to catch the trio. So many great car chase sequences and stunts; it's such a blast to watch. All three leads are great but Rourke is especially good as the calm, quiet, and somewhat creepy partner-in-crime. One of the unsung films of the 70's and ranks among the best car chase films of all time along with 'Bullitt', 'French Connection', 'The Driver', and 'Midnight Run.'
