Sure its a bad movie - but that's what makes it fun. There is more unintentional humor in this film than in most purposely made comedies!

The sight of the Oriental Treasure Shop's owner's hair-do alone is worth tuning into this movie. It far out-ranked Barnabus Collin's(the vampire character in the TV series Dark Shadows) vampire pixie cut in silliness.

There are many highly funny scenes in the film, and also an equal number of embraces. The heroine(if she could be called that)runs into Tom Selleck's arms every 5 minutes for reassurance.

Tom Selleck's character, James Robertson, purchases a painting featuring three witches being burned alive at the stake, their familiar a Rottweiler dog, and their accuser.

As it turns out, one of the witches in the painting resembles James' wife, Christina.

Shortly after the purchase, all kinds of delightful little strange things begin to happen. Christina hears voices calling to her, and various images fade from the painting only to appear in real life.

At one point, the painting catches completely on fire, but rather then running to get the fire extinguisher, the character runs and gets a statue of the Virgin Mary, which he apparently kept handy in his office, holds it up, and you can guess what effect that has.

There is also an odd building on James and Christina's property, which neither of them seemed to know was there although it appears to be only a few steps from their front door. This old building being in the film comes to nothing in particular, but its fun watching them sneaking around it like something "might" happen.

No explanation is ever given for why the painting is acting up at this particular time, perhaps because of who James ancestor was and now James has purchased it? But trust me, it doesn't really matter anyway.

Nor is any explanation given later in the film for why the three witches suddenly develop amnesia about all the things they have been doing.

A car with the ice melting under the wheels is another goodie you won't want to miss.

And it was quite amusing when a character flips up onto the hood of a car, and the driver doesn't even pause, let alone stop. Nor does the driver pause or stop when this character begins to kick the cargo that is hauled, off the truck.

A woman strips to the waist and the two characters go on talking as if she hasn't done this at all.

Many scenes like the above - that makes this "little camp classic" worth watching.

The acting is absolutely atrocious, the script is ridiculous, even the directing is absurd.

One of those films so bad, its good!
