Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

There is female nudity in the film, even though it is rated PG. You see Rosalind Cash fully naked from the rear, and there are also several short scenes where her breasts are visible. References to sexual interludes and birth control pills. A non-nude pin-up girl on a wall calendar emphasizes Neville's bachelor status.

Violence & Gore

Many characters are shot with machine guns, pistol, and sniper-rifle fire; several are set on fire and some run into by a car, one is run through with a spear with bloody results. A teenage boy is killed (offscreen, but the body is shown). Several instances dead people (with dead open eyes) and of shriveled, long dead corpses/skeletons. Blood is featured in some of the shooting scenes but it seems fake (too brightly coloured) at times.

Profanity

Languages includes "bastard", "ass", "damn", and an incomplete "motherf*****". Some derogatory race-based terms ("honky", etc.). One character wears a jacket depicting an obscene gesture.

Recreational drinking, references to drugs. Some scenes of medical drugs used and blood drawn.

The movie takes place in an empty city which is populated mainly by roving gangs of a murderous cult that only comes out at night and have an albino-like white skin, eyes and hair appearance while wearing hoods/cloaks.
