This film has been grossly underrated

This film has not received the attention it deserves. The literate script and fine performances have been ignored, largely, I think because of the absence of Barnabas. It's not really a sequel to House of Dark Shadows, but it is a sequel to DS. Sam Hall and Gordon Russel chose to loosely adapt the parallel time story from the series. They did a better job here, than they did on the series. The moody music, the superb camera work, and wise use of location shooting all create a mood that is eerie and disconcerting.
