A Weird Experiment!

This was really an odd experiment in that the makers of The Archie cartoon show had a winning formula and then changed it for the worse. On this show, Archie, Betty, Veronica, Reggie and Jughead were the hosts of a TV station and introduced various cartoon shorts (usually about 3-5 minutes long) featuring other comic strip characters like Dick Tracy, Nancy and Sluggo, Broom Hilda, etc. There were no cartoon segments of Archie and the gang themselves except for when they went from one segment to another. The show wasn't that bad but it was a disappointment for the fans of Archie who tuned in to watch him and the gang. Thankfully, the show changed formats again the following season and focused more on Archie and the gang.
