Quackser Fortune: You learnin' a lot at Trinity?Zazel: Well, Dublin has a very rich history. For instance, did you know that Jonathan Swift wrote "Gulliver's Travels" here and that Handel's Messiah had its first premiere here.
Quackser Fortune: How much did they charge you for that?

One of the best Irish movies ever.
Quackster (Wilder) meets student Kidder but she's out of his league.
Really good movie that's now sadly forgotten. Filmed mainly in Dublin city centre - many of the locations are still there. Kidder has to be one of the most beautiful actresses I've seen in any movie. I loved her character - she realises that her college friends are dull compared to Wilder but they could never stay together. Movie is similar to a black and white picture called Another Shore - in fact Kidder and Wilder walk past the steps to a bank where the earlier movie was mainly set. There's many great scenes in this movie my favourite being when the couple meet for the last time and walk outside the college. The low-key direction enhances the performances - Jean Renoir was the original choice. One of the customers in the pub was David Kelly - who recently played the grandfather in the Willy Wonka remake.
Quackster Fortune is one of the best Irish movies ever.
