Beautifully-filmed but awfully slight movie about a soundtrack composer and his love affair with a married actress. Esteemed French director Claude Lelouch always seems to know just where to put his roving camera, coming up with some incredible shots, but his flights-of-fancy are silly, and they dilute what's happening in the "real world". Characters aren't terribly interesting(another handicap), although what a treat to find super-young Farrah Fawcett in the cast(as a foxy blonde starlet)! In French and English, with fascinating location work all over the U.S. and Europe. ** from ****
