- Revealing mistakes: Mat visible beneath false floor in fight scene.
- Continuity: At the beginning when Bond drives out on the beach, a ship can be seen in the distance against the raising sun. During the fight, the sky is stormy and the ship is no longer visible.
- Continuity: Bond's tie can be seen changing positions while in mid conversation in the scene where Draco and Tracy drop him off in front of Gumbold's office building. Bond's neck tie can be see tucked inside his coat, then dangling in the next shot, then tucked back inside his coat.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: Bond's Aston Martin's tires screech repeatedly on the loose sand of the beach.
- Revealing mistakes: At the end of the first ski chase, in which Bond ends up on one ski, he nearly goes over a cliff edge. As he pulls himself back, a thin safety cable can be seen attached to his ankle.
- Revealing mistakes: During the stock car scene, when one of the legitimate contestants' car gets flipped, there is an in-car POV from the upside-down stock car. However, one can see that the shot is really a conventional reaction shot of the driver inverted in the editing room by the fact that the background and spectators are also upside-down.
- Continuity: During the distant view of the helicopter assault on Piz Gloria towards the end of the film, a helicopter that is slowly approaching the building at the far right of the screen (widescreen DVD version), suddenly vanishes into thin air and then reappears as a landed 'copter just one second later.
- Continuity: During the helicopter attack one helicopter suddenly shifts position. This can be seen when the tail shifts upward about 15 degrees.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: At one point, Tracy kisses her father goodbye, yet we hear her voice continue to speak clearly.
- Continuity: When Bond is talking to Tracy at the beginning in the casino restaurant, Tracy is resting her chin on her hand. When she says, "People who want to stay alive play it safe," she lowers her hand and leans forward. The shot changes and she is resting her chin on her hand again without having time to return to that position.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the stock-car scene, when Tracy says "James. How do we get out?" her lips aren't moving to match her speech.
- Continuity: Bond's body position changes too quickly, from shot to shot, at least twice, during the conversation with the real Sir Hillary at the Royal College of Arms.
- Continuity: When Bond is first summoned from the dinner to meet with Blofeld in his office, Gruther assists him in putting on his overcoat. Bond puts both arms in the sleeves but when he arrives at the office he is wearing the coat draped over his shoulders as can clearly be seen as Grunther slips it off.
- Continuity: When Bond meets Blofeld for the first time Blofeld starts to undo the buttons on his jacket. When we next cut back to Blofeld, his buttons are all done up.
- Revealing mistakes: Flipped shot: In one shot where both Bond and Draco are shown in the cockpit, the Huey behind them has the tail rotor on starboard but all other shots show the tail rotors on port.
- Continuity: After Fraulein Bunt sees the girls off in the van, a car with 3 Blofeld henchmen pulls up. They honk to her and the man riding shotgun gets out and lets her into the front passenger seat. He gets in the back. But in the next shot of the car's occupants, Bunt is in the back with a man to her left and one in front of her...
- Continuity: During the attack on the Piz Gloria, one of the scientists throws a large beaker at a glass double-door before Bond gets to it, splattering a purple liquid across both doors near the handles. The next shot shows a close-up with a large hole burned through the left glass door at head level surrounded by gray char marks as Bond walks through the opened right door. The next shot has Bond through the doors, which are closed, intact and clean.
- Continuity: When Bond is emptying out his desk, he takes out a belt with a knife on it and places it on top of the desk. Two shots later it is seen back in the drawer, then back on top of the desk.
- Miscellaneous: When Bond is escorted to Draco's office in the Rolls Royce you can see that the tarpaulin covering the electric folding top is in place. A few moments later the folding top is being closed. This is only possible if the tarpaulin is removed before.
- Continuity: During the fight between Bond and the villain in the sea water, their positions (either standing or lying down) frequently change between shots.
- Continuity: When the safe cracker falls off the safe after successfully cracking it, it knocks the safe's handle downwards. In the next shot when Bond opens the safe the handle is back to its original position.
- Revealing mistakes: Immediately after the ski chase, a rear shot of the baddies' Mercedes is shown in reverse, as clearly seen by the letters CH (for Switzerland) being backwards.
- Revealing mistakes: When the three helicopters are attacking the Piz Gloria and are about to land pay attention to the helicopter on the far right. It fades out and fades back in again on the landing pad. At the same time on the left side a helicopter fades in.
- Continuity: When Bond is locked in the cable car machinery room, the cable car travels down and is shown stopping at the support tower, but the next shot shows the car at the base station (note PRIVAT ENTRITT VERBOTEN sign). The car then leaves the tower and arrives at the base station again.
- Continuity: During the stock car race, when the Mercedes enters the track, it fishtails and hits Mini #11, which has spun out and stopped. A few seconds later, the Cougar passes a moving #11. The Mercedes then hits #11, causing it to spin; in the next shot, #11 is still in the race and is passed by the Cougar again. A few seconds later, after the white car flips, the Cougar passes #11 a third and final time.
- Continuity: Upon arrival at Piz Gloria, Bond (disguised as Sir Hilary Bray) opens the door of the helicopter and also slips as he gets out. The next shot shows him getting out again.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the first fight scene on the beach, Bond is fighting the attacker with one glove on his hand. Bond knocks him to the ground. The attacker picks up his gun, but Bond kicks it out of his hand, and it goes flying. It plays the sound effect of the gun being fired, after the gun has already been kicked out of the attacker's hand into mid-air.
- Continuity: When Bond is fighting the attacker in the water, it alternates rapidly between shots of them fighting in the water, and fighting on the sand.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Bond is drowning the attacker on the beach, his head is submerged underwater, yet we can hear him grunting and moaning very clearly, as if his head was above water.
- Continuity: When Bond fights the third attacker on the beach, the man approaches Bond with a knife in his hand. It then cuts to a camera angle of the man throwing a punch at Bond, and you can clearly see he is carrying no knife. Bond flips him onto the sand. When it goes to the camera shot of the man on the ground, you can see the knife is back in his hand again.
- Continuity: When the fourth attacker approaches Bond on the beach, he picks up a grappling hook. The grappling hook is facing towards the right on the ground. The camera cuts away quickly and cuts back, and then when the man picks up the hook, it is facing towards the left.
- Continuity: When Bond is fighting the intruder in Tracy's hotel room, the lamp shade gets knocked off and lands on the couch. Moments later, the lamp shade is in the middle of the rug instead.
- Continuity: The number of missing pegs, and the placement of the missing pegs on the trimming changes many times during the fight scene in Tracy's hotel room. This is due to multiple takes.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: Bond's mouth is full of food, when he says "Mmm Royal Beluga, north of the Caspian" but he doesn't sound like he has anything in his mouth when he says it. Obvious dubbing.
- Revealing mistakes: When Bond goes in to wake up Ruby, it is actually Irma Bunt hiding in Bond's bed, disguised as Ruby. However, you can tell the original was the real Ruby and they switched actresses, because of the facial appearance, hair color, voice, and everything else.
- Continuity: When Traci is fighting off her kidnappers, one of them gets a piece of the trellis stuck to his head, and then he falls down the stairs. As he is falling down the stairs, you can see that the piece that got stuck to his head has disappeared.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Bond and Draco raid the compound at Piz Gloria, there is one scene where Bond says "Guns make me nervous!" in his "Sir Hillary Bray" voice, but his mouth is not moving. Obvious dubbing.
- Revealing mistakes: During the raid on Piz Gloria, Bond seems to shoot one of the scientists straight through a plate glass door, yet, there is no hole in the glass and it does not shatter or break or anything. It is also quite obvious that nothing comes out of the gun.
- Continuity: Bond is thrown from his bobsled, and Blofeld continues downhill on his bobsled at full speed. Bond runs downhill a little bit and manages to catch up with Blofeld's bobsled and jump onto it without much trouble. Considering the fact that Blofeld's bobsled is probably traveling in excess of 100 kph at the time this exchange takes place, this is highly impossible.
- Continuity: *SPOILER* When Bond throws Blofeld off the bobsled, Blofeld's head gets stuck in the tree, in the "fork" in between two branches on the tree. The camera cuts to the next shot, and Blofeld's body is hanging from a different position on the main trunk of the tree.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: After Bond's showdown with Blofeld, Bond quips, "He's branched off!" but his mouth doesn't match his words.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: When the Saint Bernard arrives, Bond says, "Never mind that, go and get the brandy!" Bond's mouth does not match his words. Also, Bond and the dog change positions a couple times before Bond finishes his sentence, but Bond's words are unbroken.
- Continuity: During the final scene in the car, when Bond and Traci are talking, Traci's position in her seat changes several times very rapidly. It alternates between one position where she is close to Bond and her elbow is raised, and another position where she is further away from Bond and her elbow is lower.
- Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Blofeld fails to recognize Bond, even though the two met face-to-face in the previous film, You Only Live Twice (1967). Howeverm he could be merely toying with Bond, feigning ignorance in a cat-and-mouse game. (The original script for OHMSS began with Bond having his face altered via plastic surgery to explain the change of actors. This idea was dropped, but in doing so it created this continuity error later in the film.) The movies do establish Blofeld's ability to change the appearance of his face and body, even in ways that seem to defy the realm of possibility.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): An allergy is not a feeling of disgust or revulsion towards something as described in the book and movie - it is an immune system reaction which can be fatal in some people. Eating the food you are allergic to would still cause the reaction, even if you had already been hypnotized beforehand to believe you enjoyed it. Ruby and the other girls don't understand this.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Bond, disguised as Sir Hilary, explains that there are thirteen officers in the Royal College of Arms, which is correct. However, as Sable Basilisk (Sir Hilary's title) is a fictional office, Bond should have said fourteen officers.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Bond is posing as Sir Hilary Bray. However, the coat of arms he describes to the girls as being his has already been established as being the arms of the Bond family. To stay in character should have described the Bray arms.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: When the skier falls into the snow-blower, there's some poor editing. The blood and guts seem to start coming out of the snow-blower before the man even falls into it, and his screaming continues to be heard after he is dead.

Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): SPOILER: When the bomb goes off that destroys Piz Gloria, Draco counts down the timer, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0. The bomb does not go off for a full 9 seconds after Draco counts "zero" allowing Bond and Blofeld enough time to make their escape before the explosion.
