The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

The theme of the movie is an older, married woman seducing a 21-year-old man who eventually start having sex in a hotel room

Violence & Gore

Near the end of the movie, when Benjamin crashes Elaine's wedding, he knocks over her father trying to get to her. He also tries to hit some people with a cross. Mrs. Robinson slaps her daughter repeatedly across the face when she decides to run out of her own wedding.

Profanity

Very Mild for an older PG. 1 usage of the a-word, 1 g-damn, and a couple hells.

Mrs. Robinson uses alcohol to try to seduce Benjamin. They drink repeatedly throughout the movie. Many characters smoke.

The scene where Mrs. Robinson threatens to tell Elaine that she and Ben had previously had an affair is quite intense. Elaine screams and hits Ben. The final scene where the mob inside the church tries to catch Elaine and Ben is intense, as well.
