Unlike a few Daffy Duck cartoons where Daffy is incredibly mean and ready for heads to roll (exaggeration), this cartoon is more interesting than a lot of those shorts with the previous description. It's not as funny, but it's certainly entertaining to watch - once in a while anyway. In this Daffy doesn't make the best performance - but Speedy Gonzales, the cute little mouse, is very lovable and the best part of the short - for those who like him anyway.
One rather weird thing about this short that some will take for a mistake - is that the title is only appropriate at the end. Those who were expecting something like "Duck Dodgers in the 24th and a Half Century" will be disappointed. So that does not happen, here is a plot summary:
Daffy is staying a place similar to Spain and he rents out a very run-down, grotty house - but luckily it's cheap. Then Daffy meets a small, cute resident, Speedy Gonzales and things start to go wrong...
