I asked for a bad movie, I got a bad movie!

I've had two experiences with the films of Barry Mahon. The first was a silly little children's film called "The Wonderful Land of Oz" (hmmm, Ozploitation?) and now I've made my way to one of his several 1960s nudie cuties..."The Beast that Killed Women". Now while the two films couldn't be any further apart in subject matter, they do have one thing in common...They're both freakin' WHACKO!!!

Taking place in a nudist camp, where flabby butts and chicks with Scandinavian accents run amuck, an escaped gorilla is on the prowl and has the local inhabitants terrified! "At first I thought it was just some guy in a monkey suit", claims one lucky survivor. Starting to get the picture? Though it runs for only 60 minutes, 20 is really all it needed, as there really isn't much of a story, or any action at all. But even still, there's an odd quality to this cheese-fest that I can't quite put my finger on. My favorite scene is where there's a nudist volley ball game going on and paramedics are carrying a body back to their ambulance. Rather than going around the court, they cut right through the game, making their way through all the nudie cuties and even go under the net. No one seems to mind though, and quickly return to their game. WTF?

All hail the power of cheese! Recommended only to lovers of bad cinema.
