A great yet unheralded film., 4 July 2002

A real sleeper, not too many people know of this extraordinary film. It was somewhat dismissed as a "Woman's Picture" when first released even though Anne Bancroft received a Best Actress Academy Award nomination. The amazing cast includes a small cameo-like performance by James Mason which is one of his best. When given the chance to view this film, DON'T MISS IT.
