- During a thunderstorm, Mark hold Marnie while she's scared. He gently kisses her numerous times- Lil passionatly kisses Mark- Mark pulls off Marnie's dress. Nothing is seen but in the following scene it's implied that he rapes her- Marnie's mother was a prostitute. In a flashback scene, it shows her going into a bedroom with another man while young Marnie waits outside.
- Marnie's shoots her horse while it was suffering. No blood is shown- In the flashback, the sailor attacks Marnie's mother. Young Marnie picks up a fireplace poker and hits him. He is shown very bloodly and Marnie screams, causing her fear of the colour red
