The movie tells as an US young tourist girl(Leticia Roman)travel to Roma and she is witness a killing by a brutal killer. She's only helped by a mistress Italian(Valentina Cortese) and an agreeable Italian young(John Saxon) who'll help to resolve the series of unsolved crude assassinations.
In the movie there are suspense, thriller, horror and is very exciting. The film is entertained for continued tension, emotion, intrigue besides appear numerous palaces and famous buildings and squares what create a spectacular movie. The picture is considered the first giallo,sub-genre invented by Mario Bava and continued successful Dario Argento. Bava will follow filming giallos as ¨Blood and black lace¨ and classics of horror cinema as ¨Mask of demon¨Black sabbath¨,¨Planet of vampires¨. Casting film is frankly well. Leticia Roman as enticing scream girl is enjoyable and attractive, John Saxon as her young friend is very fine and the veteran Valentina Cortese is excellent.Robert Nicolosi music is atmospheric and the initiation song is by Adriano Calentano.Magnificent white and black cinematography is by proper Mario Bava as is habitual in all his movies. The motion picture will like to terror cinema fans and giallo enthusiastic .Rating : Good. Well worth seeing
