Peeping Tom (1960) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Very little.

Milly (Pamela Green) plays the part of a topless model. There are references to her topless photos but we never see any when she's topless in any way. There are scenes in the studio where the photos are taken but again we never see any topless shots.

There is one very brief (about 3 seconds) shot where she's laying back on a bed with one breast exposed.

Violence & Gore

Very little

The film is about a serial killer, but we never see any of the killings in any detail. We only see the victims with the fear on their face as the killer approaches them about to kill them. No wounds, no blood, no dead bodies are seen (except one dead body under cover of a blanket as one is taken to the ambulance)

At the end, the killer commits suicide. This is the only death we actually see but even this shows no wounds and only a small amount of blood on the weapon.

Profanity

Very little

There's a party where people are seen to be drinking alcohol.

Mrs Stephens (Maxine Audley) is seen to drink whisky and is understood to be a bit of an alcoholic. Towards the end of the film, the she can be heard talking while clearly intoxicated.

It depends what frightens you.

As the film is about a serial killer, the movie obviously deals with murder. There are no obviously frightening sequences. There is a lot in the film that has an unsettling effect on many people that watch it.
