• Revealing mistakes: In the scene where Krankor's ship returns to Earth the morning after the first confrontation, a bird is perched on top of the spinning periscope. It can even be seen flying around and away from the periscope in the following close-up.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: The wires suspending the space ships are frequently visible.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: After Krankor threatens to kill one of the boys, he is allowed to escape. As he starts to run up the stairs he was standing on and out of the room, the boy he had threatened to kill, who was standing next to him, starts briefly to follow him up the stairs and then realizes he's supposed to stay where he is and stops.

• Crew or equipment visible: At the beginning, when the three children come back into the house from the backyard, a woman in a white shirt hustles into the shot and picks up the telescope and moves it out of shot.
