Not awful but extremely unentertaining, 16 February 2002
Author: Jeff (Inthegoodlife@Aol.com) from Jacksonville, FL

This movie isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be but is extremely unentertaining and comes off as something you'd see in school to dissuade you from stealing. The plot is about three down and out beatniks who are organized by Edward Platt to steal a million dollars from an armored car. Gregg Palmer as John Mapes is the conscientious "hero" who takes part in the robbery and Kathleen Crowley plays his wife who somehow is taken along for the ride (wouldn't you leave your wife home if you were robbing an armored car?). The action is very dull but does provide an interesting psychological profile. Dissension and paranoia settle in to the gang after the car is robbed and they start to pair off. The movie also features the worst "disguise" in film history as Edward Platt shaves his goatee and proceeds to go completely unnoticed by the members of his gang. Boring and sad but interesting in spots due to the psychology.
