• When Holden is stealing the pig, he falls down in the mud and clearly gets the seat of his uniform muddy. Yet when he is climbing into the truck, the trousers are clean.
  
  
• Cary Grant's character walks down a passageway in full uniform but wearing non-regulation sandals. In the next scene, he is walking back up the passageway wearing regulation Navy black shoes and socks.
  
  
• When challenged by the Marine, Nick Holden tell him that he is violating an order of Admiral Nimitz. This is impossible as Nimitz didn't take command of the Pacific Fleet until 31 December 1941. Given the fact that Holden goes "shopping" on or about the 17-18th of December, according to the returned supply requisition.
  
  

• A late 1950s vintage car - possibly a Dodge or Chrysler is visible through an open door in one of the rooms at the naval base.
