  • The first DVD release had an "Intermission" title card printed in a different font from the one used in the theatrical film and on the second, 4-disc DVD release.

  • According to Leonard Maltin, the film was re-cut for later re-issues; this version runs 165 minutes, and removes among other scenes, the entire opening nativity sequence. The complete, 212-minute film, however, is the version commonly seen in circulation today, and is available on DVD and airs on Turner Classic Movies.
