The 2-disc set features both the 1954 original with Jeanne Crain, Dana Andrews, Dick Haymes, Vivian Blaine, and Charles Winniger as the patriarch with a prize pig, and the 1962 remake with Pat Boone, Bobby Darin, Pamela Tiffin, Ann-Margaret, Tom Ewell, and Alice Faye (in her first screen appearance in almost 20 years). Shirley Jones and Gordon MacRae star in Oklahoma! 50th Anniversary Edition (1955), co-starring Gloria Grahame, Gene Nelson, Charlotte Greenwood, Eddie Albert, and Rod Steiger as the sulky, hulking farmhand Jud. Fred Zinneman directs and Agnes DeMille choregraphs. The 2-disc set features both the CinemaScope and high-definition Todd-AO versions, which were shot simultaneously but with different takes and separate cameras. Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer star in The Sound of Music: 40th Anniversary Edition (1965), a romanticized take on the true story of the von Trapp Family Singers who rose to fame in Germany during the rise of the Nazis and then escaped the country.
