After seeing so many classic Looney Tunes shorts that have had me gasping for breath, this was a real bringdown. The Goofy Gophers look like a low-budget version of Disney's Chip and Dale with bizarre British accents and the whole thing is devoid of laughs. The punchline is especially weak. I'd love to know if this thing was the product of an "off day" at Warner Bros, a misguided attempt to do something different, or something cobbled together quickly on a tight budget in the absence of better ideas. This one won't threaten Bugs or Daffy's pre-eminence in Looney Tune history.
