Before Andy Devine took over this show in 1955 it was known as "Smilin' Ed McConnell and his Buster Brown Gang". It started as a radio show and moved to television in 1951 and ran until 1954 when McConnell died. Devine then took over the show in 1955 with essentially the same format. moreFAQ
