• Continuity: While Gelsomina is sitting against the stone wall in the mountains, the light changes from shadow to direct sun.
  
  
• Continuity: When Zampanò meets the Fool while he is repairing a flat tire on his car, the left front wheel is removed and the car is jacked. Right after the altercation, when Zampanò pushes the Fool's car, the wheel rim is back and not jacked anymore.
  
  
• Continuity: After Gelsomina has spend the night in the hole on the farm, she climbs out and wakes Zampano. She is wearing a striped shirt under her coat. She then tells Zampano she is leaving, walks away and takes off her coat. She is now wearing a solid-color sweater.
  
  

• Crew or equipment visible: Camera shadow visible when Zampano rides off with Red.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: In the last scene, despite being on the beach at night with no lights about, Zampano casts shadows in three different directions.
  
  
• Continuity: The fire at the building in the mountains changes four times as Zampano leaves Gelsomina.
