Collection of 6 low budget, shadowy crime thrillers made by the nascent Hammer Films studios in Britain with minor American star headliners for American distribution. Terence Fisher, soon to be the studio's premiere director, began his Hammer career on these noir-ish thrillers and three of them are featured in the set: Man Bait (1952) with George Brent and Brit bombshell Diana Dors, A Stolen Face (1952) with Paul Henreid and Lizabeth Scott, and Blackout (1954) with Dane Clark and Belinda Lee. Also features Bad Blonde (1953) with Barbara Payton, The Gambler and the Lady (1952) with Dane Clark and Naomi Chance, and Heat Wave (1954), written and directed by Ken Hughes and starring Alex Nicol and Hillary Brooke. Originally released in separate double-feature sets.
