• Revealing mistakes: In the daytime scenes at Chumley's Rest, shadows are seen of the actors and props that clearly go against the dominant natural light.
  
  
• Continuity: The cab used to bring Elwood to Chumley's Rest was the same cab that was used to bring everyone back later in the night. However, the cab drivers changed in just those 4 hours. While it is possible that Wallace Ford's character took over the cab, it is a huge coincidence at best.
  
  
• Continuity: Elwood's hands change position when Dr. Sanderson 'meets' Harvey.
  
  

• Continuity: Books on the second shelf up from the bottom in Elwood's library change position throughout the movie.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: At the end of the movie when Harvey is supposed to be in the porch swing, you can see that someone is pulling a string on the arm of the swing to make the swing change its motion.
