First of all, the other poster complains that Challenge to Lassie removes the idea of Bobby the Terrier but failed to mention that the five Lassie films before this one also used Collies.
Anyways, this is a great movie. From the opening with Jock and the puppy Lassie chasing the peeps around to Lassie bravely climbing down from the barracks to get to Jock's grave to all the schoolchildren bringing in their shillings to buy Lassie's license, it was just a good movie. So what if the accents don't sound so great? I couldn't really tell they were off and they didn't bother me from watching the movie.
Another great thing about this movie are the vistas. In the beginning, when Jock and puppy Lassie herd the sheep across the meadows, every view you see in beautiful! The acting was pretty good, too. The guy who played Jock seemed to have a real affection for the dog and after a while, everyone else who came in contact with Lassie ended up loving her.
All in all, I would recommend watching this movie if you ever see it on TV. It's a great movie.
