Priscilla Lane makes a bid for stardom here and gives a perky performance, supported by George Brent and Bruce Cabot as the villain. It involves silver mines and broken promises and outright lies, but of course it all comes right in the end. Excellent production values. The art direction and score were deservedly Oscar nommed and the costumes equally deserved recognition but the category had yet to be added to the Academy's roster. It's a good tight little film and enjoyable entertainment.
