This is one of those marvelous films that get lost every once in a while. Adapted from the hit Broadway play, it breezily and sophisticatedly takes on a wife whose husband is so workaholic as to ignore her on their fifth anniversary and a romantic gigolo who is more than happy to win her away from him. Colbert and Aherne are in top form as the wife and boyfriend. The script is acerbic, witty, urbane and wise. It is marvelous sophisticated fun and a delightful adult romp. Although only receiving a minor Oscar nom for Sound (nothing special), it was ignored in deserving categories (Screenplay, Art Direction, Score). Seek this one out - well worth it.
