Having submitted his 3 hour epic to the world and upset the black community in America, D.W. Griffith continued to make three more films in this year before going on to make his second epic, 'Intolerance'. Whatever your views are about his films, you cannot deny that he laid down some landmarks for future film-makers and enthusiasts to engage in.
