2.0 out of 5 stars Can't Touch the Original G.I.Joe Cartoons, Sep 19 2004
By Mike (Toronto, ON Canada) - See all my reviews
As a big G.I.Joe fan, I couldn't wait to see this new cartoon. However, the computer animation is not that good (Destro's face look like more moulded jello then a steel mask) and the storyline is out of this world (very unrealistic). In fact, it appears that Hasbro has taken GI Joe back into the unrealistic world that killed the original GI Joe back in the mid-80's: meaning introducing crazy storylines mixed with out of this world characters.

If you are a huge fan of the old 80's Sunbow series and are a big believer (like me) that the GI Joe movie killed the original 80's series, then you will find this new computer animated movie to be a waste of money (like I did).

If you are new to GI Joe, I would recommend you pass on this movie and get the two original mini-series available on DVD as those two original mini-series are true to what made GI Joe so popular back in the 80's.

4.0 out of 5 stars CG animated (3.5/5), Mar 2 2008
this is a pretty good CG animated G.I. Joe adventure.it's funny and
action packed, with some great fight scenes.the voices fit the
characters very well.i liked the characters, both the villains and the
heroes.if you are used to seeing G.I.Joe in regular animation, the CG
may take some getting used to.for me,since i hadn't seen a lot of
G.I.Joe before,the CG didn't bother me at all.in some movies,CG doesn't
quite look right for some characters.but it works here.i didn't think
the story was all that special though.still, the movie was fairly fun
and fast paced.even if you're not a fan of G.I. Joe,you might still
like this movie.for me,GI. Joe:Valor vs.Venom is a 3.5/5

5.0 out of 5 stars GI Joe, Oct 5 2004
By A Customer
This movie showed a return to innocence in the cartoon world for those under 8. There is a great supply of action and nice crisp dialogue, no one dies. The technique used by the texturers is quite advanced, and creates a super mood in the film. Enjoyable fun.
