Hilton's Parents Visit Her in Jail
Paris Hilton's parents visited the socialite in prison yesterday and were told she's cold and sleep deprived in jail. Rick and Kathy Hilton paid their first visit to Hilton's Twin Towers Correctional Facility home in Downtown Los Angeles and spent 30 minutes chatting to Paris through visiting-room glass. Her worried mum told reporters outside the prison, "It's tough in there. It's cold... She really hasn't had much sleep." But Kathy admits she's happy that her daughter is roughing it out: "She was very happy. She wants to just do her time and get on with it." Rick and Kathy Hilton are scheduled to visit their daughter again on Sunday. The hotel heiress, who is serving time for violating her probation on a 2006 drunk driving arrest, is expected to be released for good behavior on June 25.
Lohan Sued Over 2005 Car Accident

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is being sued over an October 2005 accident in which she crashed her car into a parked van in Beverly Hills, California. The Georgia Rule actress is the subject of a $3,624.84 lawsuit, filed at Beverly Hills Small Claims Court by the Florian Loeckle, the boss of the company that owns the van, on May 18. Lohan was driving her Mercedes when she hit a vehicle making an illegal u-turn before plowing into the parked van. At the time, Lohan's spokesperson claimed the star was being pursued by photographers, although some witnesses disputed this, reports website Tmz.com. And Los Angeles police issued a statement backing this up. It read: "Preliminary investigations have revealed that paparazzi were not a factor in the traffic collision." Last month, Lohan was charged with driving under the influence after crashing her car in Beverly Hills, and checked into a rehab facility shortly afterwards.
Watts & Schreiber Insists Wedding Story Was a Joke
Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber have left gossips confused about the status of their relationship after telling reporters at the Tony Awards they had wed and then denying the story. Schreiber, who was among the stars nominated at the New York theatre awards, told TV reporters at the head of the red carpet the couple had exchanged vows, only to deny the story 30 minutes later. The 39-year-old actor told Entertainment Tonight's cameras, "We are married. You got it first. Break the story!" He then insisted the announcement was a joke, adding, "It's not true." And when his pregnant partner was asked if the secret wedding reports were true, she simply replied, "No."
Journey Rocker Kept 'Sopranos' Creator Waiting
SPOILER ALERT: Rocker Steve Perry refused to let The Sopranos creator David Chase use his classic song "Don't Stop Believin'" in the mob show's final scene until he knew the fate of the drama's leading characters. The ex-Journey frontman kept Chase waiting until three days before the long-awaited finale aired in America on Sunday. Perry is a huge Sopranos fan and feared his 1981 rock anthem would be remembered as the soundtrack to the death of James Gandolfini's character Tony Soprano - until Chase assured him that wouldn't be the case. Perry says, "The request came in a few weeks ago and it wasn't until Thursday that it got approval, because I was concerned. I was not excited about (the possibility of) the Soprano family being whacked to 'Don't Stop Believin''. Unless I know what happens - and I will swear to secrecy - I can't in good conscience feel good about its use." Jonathan Cain, a co-member of Journey who wrote the song with Perry, said he didn't even tell his family the song featured in the finale. He adds, "I didn't want to blow it. Even my wife didn't know. She looked at me and said, 'You knew that and you didn't tell me?'"
Road Trip Splits Efron & Hudgens
High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens have reportedly ended their real-life romance after a dream vacation turned into a nightmare. The young lovers were spotted hand in hand at the MTV Movie Awards on June 3 but a road trip immediately following the event really tested their love for each other. An insider tells America's In Touch Weekly magazine, "Zac borrowed a car and the two headed off on their own. It was raining and they soon got lost. Zac was yelling at Vanessa that it was her fault." The teenage couple reportedly got into an argument and split up on the trip.
Willis Blasts War on Drugs
Bruce Willis has hit out at America's war on drugs, insisting it would be more productive for politicians to tackle the social problems that lead people to take narcotics in the first place. The Live Free Or Die Hard star wants leaders to accept the widespread problem of substance abuse, and dismisses the perception it's more prevalent in Hollywood. He tells Playboy magazine, "Drugs and alcohol aren't bigger problems in Hollywood than anywhere else. They're everywhere. Also, one drug is still advertised everywhere you look - at every sporting event, in every magazine. More people are killed by drunk drivers every years than by anything else. The problem is largely ignored. The big problem is the reasons people have for wanting to anesthetize themselves. We fight it the wrong way. The war on drugs is a joke. If somebody weren't making money off cocaine traffic or drug traffic in general, it wouldn't exist."
Murphy: "My Husband Is Not Shady"
Brittany Murphy was so shocked by tabloid reports about her new husband's shady past she hired a security team to check him out. The actress stunned Hollywood when she secretly wed producer Simon Monjack last month and she has spent the past few weeks defending the Brit amid reports he's a conman who owes hundreds of thousands of dollars and faces deportation. But Murphy insists she has no problem standing by her man, because she's confident the reports of his past shady dealings are all "preposterous lies." The Little Black Book star tells In Touch Weekly magazine, "Everything was just so fabricated and hurtful." Despite reports Monjack rushed to wed the actress to avoid deportation after outstaying his work visa, Murphy states her new husband has lived in the U.S. for 15 years and that their families have known each other for years. She claims the reports were fabricated by a "crazy ex-assistant" or a "crazy former girlfriend." She adds, "We're trying to figure it out."
Clarkson Parts With Manager

Pop star Kelly Clarkson has parted ways with her management company, just two weeks before the release of her new album. The singer - who won TV show American Idol in 2002 - will no longer be represented by Jeff Kwatinetz of the Los Angeles-based company The Firm. A spokesperson for The Firm says, "Kelly Clarkson is an enormously talented artist. We are pleased to have served as her managers during her well-deserved rise to stardom and are proud of the role we played in backing her creative choices. We believed in Kelly from the day we met her and believe in her now. We have only the best wishes and hopes for her in the future." The news come ahead of the release of her new album, My December, on June 26.
Montgomery & Kaufman Await First Child

Actors Poppy Montgomery and Adam Kaufman are celebrating after learning they are expecting their first child. The couple met three years ago while filming the movie Between in Mexico. Without A Trace star Montgomery is due to give birth in November. The 34-year-old tells website People.com, "It's so crazy. I can't believe it." Montgomery adds that she has talked about marriage with Kaufman but that "it's not a huge priority right now. We're together and that's all that really matters."
O'Toole Lands Papal Role

Movie veteran Peter O'Toole is to play Pope Paul III in the second season of hit U.S. historical drama The Tudors. The Pope clashed with Henry VIII as the English king, portrayed by Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers, over the ruler's divorce from his first wife Catherine of Aragon. The famous fight resulted in the historic break between England and the Roman Catholic Church. O'Toole is reportedly scheduled to shoot his scenes for the hit drama later this year.
