Sandler Beaten Up in Love Scene with Tea
Adam Sandler's latest love scene with his onscreen wife Tea Leoni was a painful experience - he was beaten up in bed. The scene in Spanglish called for Leoni, who is married to David Duchovny in real life, to pound on the Happy Gilmore star's chest during her climax - and the actress took the role to heart. Sandler recalls, "It was hurting. The camera kept rolling and Tea kept whacking. It did hurt my chest. After take six she was still going for it. My make-up girl would have to run in between takes and put flesh color make-up back on my chest."
Bloom Becomes Buddhist

Movie hunk Orlando Bloom has committed himself to Buddhism in an hour- long ceremony in Britain. The Lord Of The Rings star joined 60 others in a ritual at the Soka Gakkai International Buddhist Movement headquarters at Taplow Court Mansion in Maidenhead, England, on Saturday reports British newspaper Daily Mirror. The publicity-shy actor visited the center to receive his Gohonzon - a Chinese and Sandskrit characters on it - from director Ricky Barnes. One visitor says, "He shook Ricky's hand like the other people getting their Gohonzons and looked calm. When everyone had theirs we all clapped and cheered. "Afterwards we all had a cup of tea together and Orlando went to the gift shop. People were queuing up to get his autograph and have their picture taken with him. "He was very friendly and didn't seem to mind."
Damon Begged for Smaller 'Ocean's' Role
Matt Damon begged producers of forthcoming sequel Ocean's Twelve to make sure his role as Linus Caldwell was just as small as it had been in the 2001 original. Damon spent most of this year filming in Europe - he began shooting Ocean's Twelve immediately after he wrapped The Bourne Supremacy. Damon says, "I actually asked for a smaller part this time around. I wanted to do less work because I had just come off The Bourne Supremacy and I was tired." Despite the actor's protests, producers George Clooney, Jerry Weintraub and Steven Soderbergh insisted Caldwell have more screen time. Clooney jokes, "Matt showed up and told us he had this big hit sequel under his belt so we'd need him to sell our picture. We had no choice but to give him a bigger part."
Snipes' Alienated 'Blade' Co-Stars
Wesley Snipes alienated everyone on new movie Blade: Trinity, because he spent the entire shoot in-character. Snipes, who reprises his role as vampire-slayer Blade in the second action sequel, is a method actor and insisted on continuing on-screen relationships with co-stars when filming ends. Castmember Ryan Reynolds recently complained Snipes was stand-offish and co-star Jessica Biel agrees. She says, "It's weird to see him in the morning and not quite know what to say. I get a little response. Does he hate me? Is he p**sed at me? There's a bunch of questions that go through your head at first. "So I think it was a little unnerving for me. "I think for everybody who hadn't worked with him before it took a little while to get used to that type of process for somebody. You get used to it. You go about your day and you go about your work and your habits your own way. He didn't impose on me and I didn't impose on him either so he didn't necessarily make my experience negative to any extent. "I respected him for what he had to go through."
Shields Wants to Get Violent with Tarantino

Hollywood actress Brooke Shields would love to change her wholesome image by taking on a violent movie role - but only if Quentin Tarantino directs the film. The Blue Lagoon beauty would revel in the opportunity to dole out Kill Bill- style murders onscreen. She says of starring in a violent film, "I think if Tarantino directed it, yes. I would do it for him. I love that stuff but it has to be sort of so far gone, then you can kind of really play with it. I would trust him with something like that."
Beckinsale May Quit over Tabloid Exposure

Hollywood actress Kate Beckinsale is threatening to quit the movie industry, because she's fed up with reading so many false stories about herself. The Underworld beauty's fame rose to prominence this year bringing with it its fair share of problems and tabloid exposure. She says, "I feel like I'm in an odd new period where suddenly it's sort of, 'Ooh, here it all is', but I don't like it very much. "Recently, for instance, I keep reading stories about myself that are totally untrue. I find myself wondering, 'Do I love my job enough to put up with that?' And I'm not sure that I do."
Usher's Red Carpet Tantrum

R&B star Usher upset other celebrity guests at American magazine GQ's Men Of The Year Awards in Los Angeles last week, by banning them from the red carpet. The "Burn" hitmaker "insisted everyone and their mother clear the red carpet or he would refuse to walk it" at trendy L.A. restaurant Lucques, reports Pagesix.Com. Organizers were so eager to please the heart-throb, other stars who arrived at the same time, including Dustin Hoffman, had to enter through the back door.
Actor Makes Film about His Dad's Mysterious Death
Friday the 13th Part 2 star Warrington Gillette II has co-written a horror movie scrutinizing his real-life stepmother's bizarre reaction to his father's mysterious death. Gillette II remains devastated over the unclear circumstances of his dad F.Warrington Gillet Jr's sudden death on 13 May 2002 and is still baffled by Palm Beach, Florida, socialite Elesabeth Ingalls Gillet's unusual behavior in the months following his demise. So he's shooting Bloody Special in an effort to avenge Elesabeth's decision to flee on a Mediterranean cruise with her new boyfriend, Cuban clothing salesman Andy Avello, so soon after the funeral. But Elesabeth insists Gillette II's film is just a tasteless means of making money. Gillette II - who played legendary movie madman Jason Voorhees in the 1981 second installment of the popular horror franchise - explains his storyline to website Pagesix.Com: "Now the son discovered to his dismay (that) there is no tombstone on his daddy's grave. What heiress in Palm Beach would forget a tombstone? How grave! Something is certainly wrong with this picture." Gillette II, 44, started writing a movie about his life at the urging of his producer friend Larry Spangler. Spangler adds, "When his father died, I smelled a rat. He talked to his father every day for 20 years. But they never let him in the house after that." However, Elesabeth rejects accusations she was having an affair with Avello - who's now dying - insisting their love didn't flourish until six months after her husband's death. She says, "The poor man (Avello) is dying now. The whole thing is a lie. The boy (Warrington) is very mixed up. He is desperate for money." Two years ago Warrington made an aborted attempt to have his father's body exhumed for forensic testing, claiming he backed off after receiving death threats.
Opening of Blake Murder Trial Delayed

Opening statements in Robert Blake's murder trial have been delayed for two weeks, following the theft of his defense attorney's computer. Yesterday morning, attorney M. Gerald Schwartzbach told the court he would need more time to prepare because he lost materials in the computer taken in a burglary from his home. Los Angeles Superior Court judge Darlene Schempp granted a delay until December 20 and questioned jurors individually about what they had heard about the case and whether it would influence them during the trial. The burglary took place on Wednesday at Schwartzbach's apartment and is under investigation by police. A court representative has described the computer as containing the "heart and soul" of the defense case. Blake, 71, is accused of the 2001 shooting death of Bonny Lee Bakley, whom he had married months earlier after DNA tests showed he was the father of her baby daughter. The former Baretta star is free on $1.5 million bail, but is confined to his home.
Morgan Freeman Banned from Flying

Movie star Morgan Freeman's flying dreams have been dealt a severe blow - he has been grounded by America's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for breaking altitude rules. The Driving Miss Daisy star was reprimanded when he failed to observe landing regulations at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, and now he has no idea when he'll be able to take off again. The actor explains, "I'm being censored by the FAA and they're going to ground me. The hardest thing about flying is holding altitude. It's a three-dimensional effort. "I was grounded because I was flying into Teterboro and it was a very busy day. In every airport they have what you call an approach which is how you're going to get in with step downs - flying technique for lowering altitude. "But you don't go to these altitudes until you're told. So I'm going into Teterboro and I was at 3,000 feet coming down from an altitude of 21,000 feet. I'm looking at the approach plate, which reads what altitude your plane should be at, and it says I should be at 2,000 feet in the air. So I better get down there and I got down to 2,000 feet. "And the control tower said, 'What are you doing?' And I said, 'I'm following the approach.' They said, 'You weren't cleared for 2,000 feet, go back up.' If you change your altitude by five hundred feet the computer automatically catches it."
