Lohan's Dad Blasts Lindsay's "Lowlife" Friends

Teen star Lindsay Lohan's father has hit out at his daughter's "parasite" friends, who he accuses of deliberately ruining his reputation. Michael Lohan, who has agreed to enter a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre within the next three weeks after pleading guilty to assault charges in a New York court last Thursday, claims Lindsay's pals are spreading malicious gossip about him which is wrecking his relationship with his famous daughter. He says, "Her friends are parasites and I said so, so they scorn me. They're trying to put a wedge between me and my daughter. I don't have a drinking problem. We love each other. But the people around her are lowlifes. It's all dese, dem or dose. I have tapes you won't believe, and I'll release them at the proper time." And there is also no love lost between Michael Loha and his daughter's publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, who he blames for spreading rumors about his alcoholism and anger management problems, reports website Pagesix.Com. He says, "Leslie Sloane is a phony. We don't like each other one bit."
Linklater Classmates Sue Universal Over 'Dazed and Confused'

Three of Hollywood director Richard Linklater's ex-classmates are suing Universal Studios, after enduring jokes over characters based on them in Dazed And Confused. Richard Floyd, Andy Slater and Bobby Wooderson claim Linklater never asked them if he could use their surnames for characters in the cult film. The men say they have been viewed in a different light by neighbors and friends ever since the 1993 movie, about a group of alcohol and drug-consuming students on the last day of school in 1976, was released. Slater's lawyer Ernest Freeman says people assume his client takes illegal narcotics because of the marijuana and Lsd-loving character, played by Rory Cochrane, in Dazed and Confused. And Floyd, who now works at a car showroom in Huntsville, Texas, says, "We had fun in high school, but there is nothing true about that movie. Yet I am having to deal with it all the time."
Eminem Throws Up on Jackson And Sets Fire to Madonna's Bra
Eminem's hilarious new video features the rapper poking fun at Madonna, Michael Jackson, Pee Wee Herman and MC Hammer. The fun-loving rapper's new video "Just Lose It" features Paris Hilton, Eminem's 8 Mile co-star Mekhi Phifer, Erik Estrada and Bad Santa star Tony Cox. In one hilarious scene, Eminem, as Jackson, dashes into the toilet featured in the opening scenes of 8 Mile in an attempt to douse the fire in his hair - after an onstage pyrotechnics accident with Madonna. When the Jackson character comes face to face with the real Eminem, the rapper vomits all over him. Poking more fun at Jackson, Eminem, playing the pop superstar, accidentally knocks off his own nose during a disco scene and has to scramble around on the floor looking for it. Eminem also calls in a double, Ryan Shepard, to play a streaking Eminem, chased by Pee Wee Herman and TV star Estrada as a motorcycle cop, who eventually arrests him. Dr Dre, who also appears in the video, admits he doesn't understand why his pal is always naked in promos. He says, "I have no idea what's wrong with him, man, he always shows his a**."
Pryor and Perry Offer Reward for Dog-Drowning Arrest

Comedian Richard Pryor and actor Matthew Perry are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the drowning of a dog. The golden retriever, which police said had been tied up, muzzled and stuffed inside a burlap bag, was found on September 21 by a person walking on the beach in Nahant, Massachusetts. Pryor heard about the incident through a network of fellow animal lovers, says Linda Horsley, a pet sitter from Nahant, who is helping to organise the reward efforts with the Massachusetts Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals (Mspca). She says, "The thinking is just so sick. It's important to raise the awareness that cruelty to animals is just not tolerable." Pryor and his wife Jennifer have donated $1,000 to the reward fund. They have also paid for a banner to appear at a fundraising walk for the Mspca on October 17. The Mspca has so far raised a total of $12,000.
Sheen Lasers Off His Bad Boy Tattoos

Reformed Hollywood hell-raiser Charlie Sheen is further distancing himself from his bad boy past by having some of his 13 tattoos removed. The actor, now a happily married new dad, insists he has no connection to the days when he was a prostitute-using party animal, and so most of his skin art has no relevance. He says, "I had some tattoos lasered off my chest. They don't represent the lifestyle I thought I would always have. So now I have to go through the very slow and painful process of having them removed." But his wife Denise Richards has reservations about her husband's bid to clean up his skin. She explains, "I think tattoos are sexy. I told him he could leave them on, but he wanted to get rid of them."
Paltrow Refuses To Diet After Pregnancy

Movie actress Gwyneth Paltrow has shunned the Hollywood tradition of dieting immediately after giving birth, preferring to do gentle exercise to get back into shape. The Oscar-winner, who is married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, welcomed daughter Apple into the world in May and claims it would be unhealthy to diet while she is breast-feeding. Paltrow says, "I'm not in my pre-pregnancy state. I'm trying not to rush myself. I want my food to be high quality as I'm feeding Apple. I'm not into dieting. Now I'm able to exercise, I'm shrinking back down a little bit. It's a very slow process."
Hilton Booed Off Stage

Blonde socialite Paris Hilton's attempts to establish her pop career failed miserably at last weekend when she was booed off stage. Long known in her native America for her partying and shopping exploits, Hilton is keen to have a serious career since becoming an international name last year, when her sex tape with ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon was leaked onto the internet. Revelers in a Miami, Florida nightspot were disgusted with The Simple Life star's rendition of her debut single "Screwed," which according to Britain's The Sun newspaper, was "lip-synched". Clubbers ignored Hilton's cover versions of David Bowie's "Fame" and a Blondie track. One reveler says, "Paris quickly left."
Scorsese: No Such Thing As Pointless Violence

Veteran director Martin Scorsese refuses to accept onscreen violence can ever be gratuitous, because it forms an integral part of the human experience. The 61-year-old legend, who has captured some of cinema's most graphic violence in movie classics including Goodfellas, Taxi Driver and Casino, says blood is an essential ingredient of daily reality. Scorsese says, "There is no such thing as pointless violence. City Of God, is that pointless violence? It's reality, it's real life, it has to do with the human condition. Being involved in Christianity and Catholicism when I was very young, you have that innocence, the teachings of Christ. Deep down you want to think that people are really good - but the reality outweighs that."
Martha Stewart Goes to Prison
Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart has begun serving a jail sentence in West Virginia, after being found guilty of lying about a suspicious stock sale. Stewart entered Alderson Prison Camp in the early hours of Friday, sneaking by the photographers and reporters who had been posted there for more than a week. It wasn't until daylight that prison officials announced the celebrity homemaker had in fact reported for her five-month sentence at 6.15 am. Once inside Alderson Prison 63-year-old Stewart was fingerprinted, photographed and searched. Days before her prison spell, Stewart holidayed in the Bahamas. Comedian Robin Williams has marked her entry into prison by donning a 'Free Martha' T-shirt during a TV appearance.
