Spears Marries Federline

Pop beauty Britney Spears reportedly wed her dancer fiance Kevin Federline in a secret Los Angeles ceremony on Saturday. The wedding was held at a private home in the Studio City area with 20 to 30 people attending, according to American TV network Entertainment Tonight's website. Spears, dressed in a strapless white gown, and Federline, in standard tuxedo, reportedly dined on chicken fingers and ribs in a barbecue-style reception. The "Toxic" star announced her engagement to Federline in June, just three months after they began dating. In January, the singer sparked a media frenzy when she married her childhood pal Jason Alexander in an impromptu Las Vegas wedding, only to have the union annulled 55 hours later. Spears' representative Nicole King has so far refused to return a message to comment on the marriage reports.
Culkin Arrested on Drugs Charges

Former child actor Macaulay Culkin has been arrested and jailed in America on drug possession charges. Police have confirmed the 24-year-old Home Alone star was imprisoned on charges of possessing marijuana and a dangerous controlled substance without a prescription. He and another man were taken in by cops after the car they were traveling in was pulled over in Oklahoma City on Friday. Culkin was later released after paying a $4,000 bond. Among the substances found in the vehicle - in which Culkin was a passenger - was a 17 gram batch of marijuana and 16 milligrams of prescription medicines Xanex and Clonzebam used to control anxiety and seizures. Police also found $3,000 in a bag that Culkin said belonged to him. Officers leapt into action when they noticed a car driving at 70 miles per hour in a 60 miles per hour speed zone and for making an improper lane change. A police statement says, "Culkin was transported to the Oklahoma County Jail and booked on the state charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a prescription, possession of marijuana, and a municipal charge of possession of marijuana."
Jackson Back in Court To Face Accuser's Mom
Michael Jackson was back in court in Santa Maria, California, after showing up with members of his family for a face-to-face with the mother of the boy he is accused of molesting. Dressed all in white again, the King of Pop, his mother Katherine and his siblings entered the courthouse on time Friday to watch as his legal team quizzed the woman who once allowed her son to have sleepovers with him. It marks the first time Jackson has seen the woman, named in court as Jane Doe, since he was charged with molestation last November. Jackson, who is scheduled to stand trial in January, was met with cheers from about 50 fans as he arrived at court. At the pre-trial hearing, which began Thursday, the defense is attempting to persuade judge Rodney Melville to disallow as evidence some items taken in a search of Jackson's Neverland Ranch and from the office of a private investigator. The accuser's mother is to testify about whether she knew Jackson's private investigator Bradley Miller worked for former Jackson lawyer Mark Geragos. The pop star's legal team is out to show that Jane Doe and prosecutors should have known Geragos had hired Miller, and that items taken from Miller's office in a raid could not be admitted at the trial because of the attorney-client privilege of confidentiality. Jackson has pleaded not guilty to child molestation, conspiracy and administering an intoxicating agent, alcohol.
Diaz and Timberlake To Split?

Glamorous couple Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake have allegedly agreed to a trial separation to give them time to consider whether they can handle the pressures of a high-profile relationship. The "Rock Your Body" hunk was reportedly poised to wed the Charlie's Angels beauty before 2005, just weeks after his ex-lover Britney Spears walks down the aisle, but distressing press coverage about their romance, and recent allegations a British model slept with Timberlake, have prompted the pair to temporarily break-up before they decide whether to give their 15-month relationship a second try, reports Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. An insider says, "It's all very amicable but they both feel desperately in need of some time out. They are both huge stars and sometimes the pressures of being in the public eye can be too much. Of course they love each other but they are trying to decide what's best for them. There were lots of tears but it's only a temporary break and they will the decide if they want to give it another go. Every aspect of their relationship is under the microscope and they both find it hard to cope with."
Paltrow Earns Millions for Three Minutes
Gwyneth Paltrow will reportedly earn a staggering $3.6 million to sing one three minute song on the big screen - making her the highest paid actress ever for a cameo appearance. The Oscar-winning beauty, who is putting her acting career on hold to be a full- time mother to baby Apple, will receive the massive paycheck for playing singer Peggy Lee and singing "This Thing Called Love" in a star-studded biopic of legendary writer Truman Capote called Every Word Is True. A source says, "No actress has earned this sort of money for just one day's work. When you're talking about someone as beautiful and iconic as Gwyneth making her filming comeback after having her baby, then it's the performance that counts. She will set up the movie perfectly with a superb glittering performance."
Madonna's Dead of Night Spiritual Jaunt

Pop star Madonna is so desperate to avoid being mobbed by photographers during her spiritual quest to Israel, she visited Judaism's sacred Western Wall in the middle of the night. The Material Girl - who has joined 2,000 fellow followers of the Kabbalah to celebrate the start of the Jewish New Year - was driven to the historical site in the early hours of yesterday, after making a midnight pilgrimage to a Jerusalem cemetery. But Madonna remained inside her car when they arrived at the Western Wall, where the biblical temples once stood, and admired the spectacle from afar - much to the disappointment of many visitors. Hadass Chen, who made the trip to see the singer, says, "Why did she not come out of the car? We were waiting for her. You don't feel the vibe if you don't touch the wall." The singer - who is an avid follower of the mystical Jewish offshoot - paid homage to Kabbalist sage Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag with her film director husband Guy Ritchie at the Kiryat Shaul cemetery, and held a ceremony at his grave, before heading off to the Western Wall.
Moore Threatens To Sue After Lecture Is Canceled

Controversial movie-maker Michael Moore is lashing out at officials at California's Cal State University after a lecture he was scheduled to give was pulled from the autumn schedule. The Fahrenheit 9/11 director was due to give an address to students three weeks before the upcoming presidential elections in November but the lecture has been scrapped over fears the university would appear to be taking sides politically. Moore is a fervent Democrat, who is fiercely opposed to current president George W Bush, and campus officials couldn't balance his anti-Republican stance with a conservative speaker of "comparable significance". But Moore is refusing to let the cancellation pass without incident - he's threatening to sue the university, claiming officials there have broken a contract with him. Those students opposed to the decision to axe Moore's lecture are hoping to persuade the movie heavyweight to speak at an off-campus location. They've raised $46,000 to cover Moore's appearance fee and the rental of an undisclosed hall.

Ryder will play a slacker actress who experiences a series of life-changing misadventures after eating a batch of marijuana-laced brownies made by her roommate. Lehmann directed Ryder in 1989 black comedy Heathers, which is often credited as the film that transformed the aspiring actress into an A-list star. Scott's Mother Slams Bond Rumors

Scottish actor Dougray Scott's mother has slammed reports her son is to play the next James Bond. The To Kill A King hunk, 38, was rumored to have beaten King Arthur star Clive Owen and Hulk actor Eric Bana to replace Pierce Brosnan in the 23rd Bond movie, after discussions with producer Barbara Broccoli. But Scott's mother, Elma Scott, says, "My other son David contacted him about the latest reports and he said it's not true. He has other commitments, so there is certainly nothing to say at the moment." Scott has just announced plans to do a film titled The Cone Gatherer, scheduled for release next year, in which he plays an objector to the Second World War who is sent to work on a country estate in Scotland.
