Sizemore Arrested for Battery

Movie star Tom Sizemore spent four hours in jail over the weekend after he was arrested at his Hollywood home on misdemeanor battery charges. Police were called to the Black Hawk Down star's house following an argument with an unknown woman and arrested the actor. He was released on $2,500 bail. Sizemore's attorney insists the guest became unruly when the actor asked her to leave. The movie star will be arraigned on January 8. The actor split from longtime girlfriend and former Hollywood Madame Heidi Fleiss earlier this year. Fleiss was not the guest who Sizemore was rowing with before he was arrested.
'Lord of the Rings' Seeks Gollum Oscar

The makers of the new Lord Of The Rings movie are campaigning for an Oscar for one of their stars - even though he's completely computer generated. The Two Towers producer, Barrie Osborne, and director, Peter Jackson, were so impressed with their animated character Gollum that they believe he deserves recognition in next year's Academy Awards. However, the filmmakers really know that actor Andy Serkis - who voices the skeletal figure - is the one who deserves the credit for making the computer generated role come to life on the big screen. Osborne says, "The performance is really driven by Andy. He deserves a nomination for a Supporting Actor Oscar and we are going to campaign for him to get one." Jackson adds, "Andy create the character. He says the dialogue, he plays the scenes and the computer captures his movement and translates that to the digital version of Gollum."
Britney Seeks Restraining Order Against Stalker

Pop queen Britney Spears has taken out a restraining order against a Japanese stalker she insists has been tracking her since September. The singer claims Masahiko Shizawa has tried to get into her home in Los Angeles and has followed her down to her parents' home in Louisiana. Britney's attorney wants the 41-year-old to be kept at least 1,000 yards from his client whether she's in America or abroad. The pop superstar grew concerned when she received a letter from Shizawa, stating "I'm chasing you" a month ago. Another stalker, who was discovered camping in Britney's garage in Los Angeles, was sent to hospital for psychiatric examination in February.
More Details About Ryder Doctor

The shamed doctor who has lost his license after prescribing addictive narcotics to Winona Ryder has also been linked to the disgraced star's pal Courtney Love. Jules Mark Lusman lost his license last week when the Medical Board of California declared the Santa Monica physician catered to "the demands of wealthy and famous drug seekers." The 49-year-old doctor, whose stated specialty is laser surgery, may now face criminal prosecution after being found partly responsible for helping Ryder gain the drugs she was found carrying when she was arrested for shoplifting last year. A Medical Board investigation also discovered Lusman charged thousands of dollars for house calls to celebrities and the well-to-do, and in one case he received a $3,000 retainer charged to a sick patient's credit card. A board spokesman says, "It's like the sub-plot of a Raymond Chandler novel." The board's report identifies other patients by initials only. One was identified as C.L., whom the report went on to describe as "a fairly well known musician", who at one time "had been married to Mr C, who had passed away." Meanwhile, Lusman, speaking from South Africa, insists the decision to revoke his license is "grossly unfair." He has denied any wrong doing in his treatment of Ryder.
Renee Sick on Empty Stomach
Renee Zellweger was taken ill at the aftershow party for her new film Chicago, and people close to the super slim actress where heard blaming her condition on the fact she hadn't eaten all day. The post-screening event took place in London's West End on Sunday evening and these latest revelations raise even more questions about her eating habits. Although she appeared to be in high spirits earlier on, cuddling up and joking with co-star Richard Gere, the 33-year-old star of Bridget Jones's Diary was looking "deeply distressed" in the women's toilets at the Cafe Royal at around 11pm. A member of Renee's entourage was overheard whispering, "She hasn't eaten all day. She was being sick and all that was coming up was stuff from the bottom of her stomach. We've got to get her home." According to a spokesperson for filmmakers Buena Vista, however, her rapid departure from the party was in fact due to a lack of sleep saying, "Renee wasn't sick as far as I am aware. If she was looking distressed it would have been because she was absolutely exhausted. She has been really, really, busy." Nevertheless, much was made of the star's wafer thin figure, with one guest at the glitzy premiere saying, "She was so skinny, she made co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones look fat."
Kilmer Throws Trailer Tantrum

Hollywood actor Val Kilmer has upset the crew on the set of his latest movie Wonderland with superstar demands - over the precise location of his trailer. According to a source close to the movie, in which Kilmer plays the late porn star John Holmes, the actor became angered recently when he arrived on the set and discovered that his trailer was parked too far away. When director James Cox told Kilmer there was no way to move the trailer because of the late hour, the source tells American magazine People that the actor threw a tantrum, screaming, "I want my trailer moved! I don't care if you have to get extras to pull it all the way across the street!" Shortly afterwards, a black Humvee arrived and before long, Kilmer's trailer was towed to the actor's desired location. A representative for Kilmer insists, "The shoot went amazingly well."
Hanks is a Ladykiller
Tom Hanks is to star in the Coen Brothers' remake of classic Ealing comedy The Ladykillers. The 1955 black comedy, which starred Peter Sellers and Alec Guinness, is being revamped by the brothers behind hit movies Fargo and O Brother, Where Art Thou? Hanks will reprise Guinness' role as a criminal mastermind, who plots to rob a riverboat casino, only to be thwarted in his attempts to get away with the perfect crime by his innocent landlady.
Honor for Jackson After Weeks of Controversy
Michael Jackson opened up his Neverland Valley Ranch to TV cameras last night so he could appear at the Billboard Music Awards without leaving his house. The pop superstar, who has been caught up in legal battles and child welfare controversy in recent weeks, chose not to attend the ceremony at the MGM Grand at the last minute - where he was to be honored for his 1982 landmark album Thriller. Pal Chris Tucker insisted on presenting the King Of Pop with his award and persuaded the eccentric star to let him present him with his special award from Jackson's California home. The "Man In The Mirror" hitmaker paid tribute to his fans, insisting, "I couldn't be me without you."
Lopez Reunites With Her Stylist

Singing sensation Jennifer Lopez has forgiven her stylist and taken him back into her huge entourage. The "Jenny From The Block" star, who has recently got engaged to Hollywood heavyweight Ben Affleck, made up with her longtime friend and hairdresser Oribe after sacking him a week ago. The rift came after Lopez heard reports that Oribe had thrown a diva-like tantrum at the press junket for her latest movie Maid In Manhattan and promptly let him go. However, all was mended on Sunday night when the pair attended the premiere of the movie at New York's Rainbow Room. Oribe said, "We are back together. It was nothing. A misunderstanding."
Whitney Wows Manhattan

Troubled diva Whitney Houston wowed New York City yesterday, recording her live comeback for breakfast show Good Morning America. The songstress brought the streets outside the TV show's headquarters in Times Square to a standstill as fans gathered to catch the singer's return to the live stage to promote her new album Just Whitney. After stating, "Y'know, I don't normally sing in the cold," Houston dedicated her show to presenter pal Diane Sawyer. The "I Will Always Love You" star then sang three songs, including a Christmas carol with a New York choir. The performance aired on Tuesday's Good Morning America.
