Celebrity Biography: Lisa Loeb

Lisa Loeb is an American actress, singer, and songwriter who sprung onto the musical scene in 1994 with the song "Stay (I missed you)." She was the first musical artist ever to have a number one single without being signed to a recording contract. Lisa was born on March 11, 1968 in Bethesda, Maryland but was raised in Dallas Texas. Her mother, a homemaker, and her father, a gastroenterologist, remain in Dallas today. When Lisa was young, she attended the all-girls private school, The Hockaday School. She has three siblings Debbie, Benjamin, and Phillip, all of whom are involved with music. Speaking about her childhood, Lisa says "I don't think I can tell any stories about how I lived in a van in Alaska. I grew up in the suburbs, I even had my own room. We weren't poor. Everything was normal." Lisa began writing her own songs at the age of six,

Jingle Ball 2009 Set to Dazzle the Masses

'Twas the night before Jingle Ball, when all through the Garden, not a basketball was dribbling, not even by a Knick. The folding chairs were laid out on the floor with care, in hopes that Jingle Ball will soon be here. The artists were nestled in their plush hotel suites with visions of screaming fans and sold out seats. While fans waited anxiously for the gate to open, only fate knows what's in store for Jingle Ball '09. The annual Jingle Ball concert is heading back to Madison Square Garden and PopStar is planning to score all the dish just for you!
