Detroit Pistons Drumline To Perform At The Mall At Partridge Creek 11/21

The Mall at Partridge Creek will light up the holiday season at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 21. The Detroit Pistons celebrated drumline will help Santa - the event's Grand Marshal - tip off the mall's third-annual tree lighting ceremony.

The drummer boys will lead Santa to the mall's Center Court where he will light a majestic 42-foot tree. Guests will be invited to assist the Jolly Old Elf with magical light wands, compliments of Partridge Creek. The tree is only part of an impressive display that will illuminate the shopping center with 300,000 twinkling lights.

Listen to the angelic voices of the Michigan Opera Theatre's beloved children's choir who will be performing holiday favorites during and after the ceremony. Later meet the evening's Grand Marshal who will pose for photos inside Parisian - don't forget to bring your camera!

In Jean-Paul Sartre's existentialist masterpiece, 'No Exit', three damned souls collide in hell, expecting to be subjected to torture for their mortal sins, only to be left at the mercy of one another. Sartre's philosophical journey into the human psyche will be staged as a 'live movie' in a hybrid film and theatre performance presented by Nightwood Theatre from November 11-21 at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. The production is conceived and directed by Kim Collier. »

It is truly the end of a a talk show era. Variety reports that the Emmy-winning The Oprah Winfrey Show will broadcast its final interview in September 9, 2011 when Oprah's syndication deal ends. The show will have run for 25 years. Oprah Winfrey, the show's host, announced the shows end to staffers at her Chicago-based Harpo production company yesterday and will make the news public on her program today, November 20th.
