News: New Classic Who Merchandise

Fans of classic Doctor Who will be pleased to hear that BBC Worldwide have signed an agreement with two new licensees to produce new merchandise. First of all there's Bravado's adult T-shirts and hoodies featuring images from the era of the Fourth (Tom Baker) and Fifth (Peter Davison) Doctors, which will be available in time for Christmas from "select retailers." Accompanying these items of apparel are a range of gifting items set to launch by in time for spring 2010. Including... »

Here'sour third daily picture from The Waters of Mars - get used to this because from what we can gather there's quite a bit of running in the new episode of Doctor Who! No disrespect of course, but Ms Duncan - seen here as Mars Bowie Base commander Adelaide - seems in pretty good shape for her years. She's evidently in tip top condition... then again if you're heading a mission to Mars, you would be wouldn't you? With just four days left to run until the UK premier of this new episode,... »

Take a careful look ladies and gentlemen...this is your first glimpse of one of the David Tennant's final moments in Doctor Who... Released today, this image from The End of Time gives little away - save for hinting at the dire straits the Doctor is in as browns, dark blues, shadows and sharp columns of light convey the concern in the Time Lord's face. Tune in to BBC Radio 7 on the morning of Monday, 16th November (very early - midnight!) for a broadcast of the commentary for the coming episode of Doctor Who - The Waters of Mars! Featuring Julie Gardner, Russell T Davies and David Tennant, the 60 minute commentary will of course be best experienced while watching the episode; nevertheless the BBC's Official Doctor Who website has had plenty of success providing commentaries for episodes throughout 2007 and 2008, so there's no reason to miss... »

The new Radio Times - covering November 14th to the 20th - features a superb Doctor Who cover with David Tennant's Tenth Doctor peering out of the yellow helmet of his space suit. Today's Waters of Mars image sees the Doctor and Commander Adelaide hitching a ride on the robot Gadget in a shot from this Sunday's episode of Doctor Who... Little is still known of the details of the episode, save for the fact that a deadly waer-based alien infection on a Mars base causes a zombie like army to raise up - and the Doctor takes his time getting involved because what happens on Mars "...must always happen". David Tennant appears on The Graham Norton Show tonight on BBC One (10.35pm) as part of a series of appearances on TV and radio throughout this week in the run up to The Waters of Mars.
