Big B to fly down with Paa for Ilaiyaraja

It's going to be one helluva packed weekend for Big B. On Thursday after the premiere of Paa, which finally wrapped up, he drives down early morning on Friday to Lonavla to shoot for Bigg Boss. After a hectic day of Boss-ing early Saturday morning, the Big B leaves for Chennai with a print of Paa to show to the musical maestro Ilaiyaraja who didn't want to fly down to Mumbai for the premiere. Confirming Big B's Chennai plans Paa director, Balki says, "Raja Sir(Ilaiyaraja)didn't want to leave his work and come. Yes, Amitji is indeed going to be in Chennai on Saturday. So what if L. K. Advani saw Jail on Saturday 28 November and told Bhandarkar to make more of such meaningful films? Madhur is done with films on grim social issues, but only for now. Oscar Library shows keen interest in acquiring screenplay of De Dana Dan

Bollywood never had it so good. Bollywood films are very much making it big globally and here's another proof to support this fact. After having acquired films like Parineeta, Sarkar Raj, Namaste London, Heroes, Rock On, 'The Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' has now shown keen interest in acquiring a copy of the screenplay De Dana Dan for their permanent core collection. For starters, the scripts in the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences collection are made accessible for research purposes only, wherein students, filmmakers, writers and actors are among our regular patrons. Tata Elxsi - Vcl expands to the Us

Mumbai based Visual Computing Labs (Vcl), a part of the Tata Group and one of the leading VFX companies in India, recently announced opening of its new studio in the Us. Based in Santa Monica, La, the new setup is designed for Us based films and television production companies. Speaking at the announcement, Madhukar Dev, MD of Tata Elxsi, shared, "The new studio covers an area of close to 4,000 sq feet and has the capacity to accommodate 45 artists at a time who will be working on project basis and freelance model." To head the creative team of artists, the company has hired VFX industry veterans like Joel Hynek, Tricia Ashford and Treva Blue, who bring several years of industry experience with them. S. Karan Johar signs Rensil for next film with Utv

Notwithstanding the box office failure of Kurbaan, Karan Johar, Rensil D'Silva and Utv Motion Pictures would be making another movie together. In fact, work has already begun on the scripting of the film and Karan has declared that the trio has a point to prove this time around. The inevitable has happened. Owing to popular demand, 'Gale Lag Ja' - the rain song and dance number featuring the lead pair of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif - has been added to the film's narrative. Though this much hyped song had created quite some buzz en route to the release of De Dana Dan, it was chopped off from the final copy of the print since it was adding to the film's length. However, the makers of De Dana Dan were open to the idea of incorporating the song as an added bonus if audiences demanded so and the film worked at the box office. With weekend collections being quite strong worldwide, the final call was taken around bringing back the song in the narrative. Karzzzz was released on October 17 last year, which totals to 8. I was dead against releasing the film on that date and my worst fears came true when Karzzz flopped. That's why I decided against releasing Radio on December 4 [Friday]. Instead, we will release the film on the evening of December 3 [Thursday]," Himesh explains his stand.
