Good morning, projectioneers. How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good, movie-wise. I finally got a chance to see Punisher: War Zone (terrible) and the Gillo Pontecorvo film Burn! that features Marlon Brando leading a Carribean slave rebellion. It is pretty hardcore in a Sam Peckinpah kind of way. Looks like a lot of people went out and saw The Haunting in Connecticut despite my warning. Maybe you’ll listen next time. Anyway, let’s see what’s happening today. Bruno is now BruNC-17o, if that makes any sense. The Wrap broke the story that Sacha Baron Cohen’s gay-themed gotcha mock doc has too much shock! Those who saw scenes of the film at SXSW reported that it made Borat look tame, so it can’t be too surprising that the MPAA’s ruling of the first cut was a thundering Nc-17. Mutant Chronicles - Exclusive Brother Samuel Introduction Clip

Putting Thomas Jane and Ron Perlman in a movie are usually would be enough to get me to watch a film, but when that film is Mutant Chronicles I have other interests in mind as well. Part Sci-Fi, part horror, part cheesy, and based on a pen-and-paper role playing game, these are the ingredients that usually make a baker’s dozen of fun for me. In this clip that we have for you, Ron Perlman describes his role in the film and just who and what his character is. I read a feature on this in Fangoria recently and it looks pretty damn cool. Seing Thomas Jane looking a bitt like Two-Face was very different. What I want to know is if this takes place on Nero, or Luna or if this is before or after the breaking of the “First Seal Of Repulsion”. I’m sure we’re all »
