Radcliffe Eyes Up Potter Props
14 July 2009 9:16 AM, PDT
Daniel Radcliffe is determined to get his hands on a special memento from the set of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows - a police poster featuring his face.
The 19 year old is currently filming the final wizard movie, which will be split into two parts and released in 2010 and 2011.
And despite strict security surrounding the props onset, Radcliffe has his eye on landing a keepsake.
He says, “On the seventh film there are wanted posters with Harry Potter on them... with my face. I’d love one of them. I think it would be great. I’d love to have it up somewhere. I’ll steal one. They aren’t going to fine me.”
But Radcliffe isn't bothered about taking home a wand that he's used as the boy wizard - because the teen is sure he would break it.
He adds, "You know what? I’ve broken so many of them that I’d probably end up breaking the one I take. I think it is safer not to.”
Bullock Strips For Money
14 July 2009 9:16 AM, PDT
Sandra Bullock has vowed to strip off in all her future movie roles - so she can pocket a bigger salary.
The actress disrobes in new film The Proposal - and the nude scene gave her a taste for getting naked in films.
Bullock is sure she'll enjoy a bumper pay day if she keeps taking her clothes off in movies, like fellow comedy actor Will Ferrell.
She says, "If you're naked and you're trying to be sexy, you don't really make as much money as if you're naked and you're funny.
"Will Ferrell has been on to that for quite some time. Have you noticed how he drops his trousers in every single film? I'm going to do that from now on."
Hill Hunts For Online Impersonator
14 July 2009 9:16 AM, PDT
Funnyman Jonah Hill is on the hunt for a computer hacker who's forcing him to apologise to his Hollywood colleagues - after the impersonator started an online feud with Iron Man director Jon Favreau.
The Superbad star is warning fans he's not logged on to social networking site Twitter.com after discovering someone created an account under his name.
He explains, "I have never been on the website Twitter. Nor will I ever be on the website Twitter. But there is someone who impersonates me on the Twitter and has like 100,000 followers and it's not me. People come up to me like, 'I follow you on Twitter.' And I'm like, 'No, that's not me, that's some kid in Alaska pretending to be me.'"
And Hill has launched a crusade to find the person who's assumed his identity and attacked Favreau online, because he fears the hacker is ruining his chances at becoming a bigger star.
He adds, "One day someone came up to me and said, 'Hey man things are getting pretty heated between you and Jon Favreau, who directed Iron Man, on Twitter.' Apparently this kid is talking trash to Jon Favreau, who I have had two lovely encounters with, who's a lovely guy, who I want to work with by the way... I had to email him like, 'Man, it's not me.' I want to start a fake Twitter for this kid and ruin his life."

Boxing Champ Gatti's Wife Denies Murder
14 July 2009 5:16 AM, PDT
Boxing champion Arturo Gatti's wife did not kill her husband, according to her lawyer - because she is too "fragile, young and skinny" to have committed murder.
Gatti was in Brazil on holiday with wife Amanda Rodrigues and their one-year-old son when he was found dead in a hotel room in Porto de Galihnas on Saturday.
Rodrigues was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murdering her husband after a drunken row, with police claiming she strangled the sporting legend to death with her purse strap.
She told cops Gatti was drunk and that a third party committed the crime after her husband went to the apartment by himself.
Officials are sceptical of the claim, with investigator Moises Teixeira saying, "It was technically impossible for a third person to have been in the flat. She did this alone."
But Rodrigues' lawyer Celio Avelino has slammed the allegations, insisting, "(Rodrigues) is fragile, young and skinny. How could she kill a boxing champion?"
And Rodrigues is now claiming she thought her husband had taken his own life as she slept.
Avelino adds, "When (Rodrigues) awoke, she presumed he had committed suicide. But she had nothing to do with it."
Gatti's family have spoken out about the tragedy - and revealed the pair had a stormy relationship.
The boxer's sister Anna-Maria says, "She (Rodrigues) always said, 'I'm gonna kill you, I'm gonna kill you.' My mother told him to leave her. The only reason that he didn't want to leave her was the boy."

Bruno Re-cut For U.K. Teen Market
14 July 2009 1:06 AM, PDT
Cinemagoers in the U.K. will get the chance to see two versions of risque new comedy Bruno - to allow younger fans to enjoy the movie.
Sacha Baron Cohen's outrageous new big screen outing, in which he plays a gay Austrian fashionista, was slapped with an 18 certificate by British movie watchdogs due to its adult content.
Universal Pictures, the studio behind the film, feared the older certificate could cause a huge cut in revenues - prompting bosses to re-cut the movie so that 15 year olds can also go and see it.
The film was also heavily edited for the American market, so that under-17s were allowed to view the footage.
The newly re-cut film will be available in Britain from 24 July.
And the re-worked Bruno seems to have paid off - the movie topped the U.S. box office last week (ends12Jul09) with takings of $30 million (£20 million).
Vatican Praises Latest Harry Potter Film
14 July 2009 1:06 AM, PDT
The Roman Catholic Church has praised the latest instalment of the Harry Potter franchise - for highlighting the "sacrifice" needed for good to triumph over evil.
The Vatican's own newspaper L'Osservatore Romano lauded Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, insisting it is the best adaptation of J.K. Rowling's hugely successful books so far.
And it even insisted the teenage love scenes - with the main characters all kissing in the film - achieved the "correct balance" in creating a credible story for the audience.
The Vatican added that the movie was positive as it showed that to overcome evil, it "sometimes requires costs and sacrifice".
However, the paper doesn't always offer up such kingly reviews of blockbusters - the publication slammed Tom Hanks' Angels and Demons in May, insisting the Vatican could "not approve" the religious-themed movie.

Sorvino Welcomes Son After Difficult Nine Months
14 July 2009 1:06 AM, PDT
Oscar winner Mira Sorvino has given birth to her third child - after a traumatic pregnancy.
The actress and husband Christopher Backus welcomed little Holden into the world last month, but she admits that carrying a baby for the third time was anything but easy.
Sorvino was diagnosed with placenta previa, meaning she had to be hospitalised for nine weeks before the baby was even born, and was ordered to remain completely bed-ridden - meaning she couldn't care for her other kids, four year old Mattea and Johnny, three.
She explains, "I developed a blood clot due to all the inactivity and had to be anti-coagulated for months to prevent a pulmonary embolism. I spent another two-and-a-half weeks at the hospital, during which time, missing the children and my husband and knowing what the separation was doing to the kids became almost unbearable."
But the star insists the pain was all worth it: "As soon as they placed him in my arms I knew it had all been worth it. He is my miracle baby. With everything that threatened this pregnancy and both of our lives, he came out of it completely unscathed: perfectly healthy, beautiful and wonderful!"
Producer Sues ABC Over Lost 'Rip-off'
14 July 2009 1:06 AM, PDT
A veteran TV producer is suing U.S. network ABC, insisting the channel used his ideas and storyline for hit series Lost.
Anthony Spinner, who has produced and written hundreds of TV episodes since the 1960s, claims he offered the network a pilot based on an aeroplane crash-landing in the jungle three times, only to be knocked back on each occasion.
Spinner alleges he presented ABC with the show's format in 1977, 1991 and 1994.
In the suit filed in Los Angeles on 10 July, Spinner insists his idea was then plagiarised, and the network went on to create a carbon copy of his idea with Touchstone in 2004, which eventually became the popular show.
Spinner, who has tried to sue ABC before over the alleged rip-off, is seeking damages and a cut of the royalties and profits from the long-running series.
