Casting has begun on a new indie horror film that sounds inspired by Saw entitled Nine Dead. Directed by Chris Shadley from a script by Patrick Wehe Mahoney, nine people, seemingly picked at random, find themselves locked together in a heavily fortified basement, chained to poles and told at gunpoint to figure out why they are here, or face certain death. In ten minute intervals, one among them is unceremoniously gunned down by the Shooter, whose need for revenge has taken the form of twisted ritualism. Melissa Joan Hart and John Terry star. Shooting begins this July in Baton Rouge. More soon.
